dear trimester 1: you're done! exams are graded. final grades are in. i am officially done with you...and on to the next. dear paris: i am so proud of you for finally going back to school! your first week of classes is done and i couldn't be happier for you! keep up the hard work :) dear next week: please be kind. i'm going on an overnight field trip with my students to see some sea turtles and their eggs. i am more than excited but please have everyone survive in one piece! (including myself). dear mother nature: i don't mind the rain everyday, in fact i kind of like it. but can it please wait until after the school day ends! being that all of our "hallways" are outside makes it kind of hard not to get wet when changing classrooms. dear katherine: thanks so much for having me on your blog (sense)story perception this week! you can check out my writer of the week interview here and my guest post here. enjoy!

dear february in costa rica

dear february in costa rica: you sure are hot. too hot. the thought of wearing my uniform to work on monday makes me want to crawl into a refrigerator. dear spanish bank: i am through with you and good riddance! you gave me such a headache last week and i am happy to be done with you and the rude people that work for you. dear brother and laura: less than three months away until your wedding! i am getting so excited to be there and celebrate your big day together. dear weekend: i hope there are many opportunities for me to take pictures with my camera. yesterday i was given just a little bit of time before the sun went down and it made me want to take even more.

dear rocco: how did you get to be so cute?? i could take pictures of you all day long .. and sometimes i do. thanks for being such a good sport. although it seems like you love it. dear work: i start again tomorrow! i'm pretty excited to be going something every day again. as much as i love being on vacation, too much vacation has been making go a little stir crazy. dear self: it may be best to remember that free hair cuts are not always best. yes they are free .. but they also lead to much shorter hair than you might have wanted. dear account debacle: i don't like you. please get fixed tomorrow.

dear rocco: sorry that you have been getting sick lately but that doesn't mean when i try and give you medicine you can bite. nope, you can't do that anymore. dear endicott girls: it was so nice to get to hang out with you the past week. stinks you had to leave so soon ... but hopefully i'll see you in a few months! dear school: i'm getting pretty excited for you to start up again. just one more week left, so i should probably get to work on some lesson plans, right? dear bathroom: i really want you to be painted but .. it seems kind of daunting to pick out the right color and paint it myself. any ideas?

dear students: it was so nice having our last day together at the amusement park the other day! it was nice to be able to spend some time with you guys outside of class. see you in a few months. dear home: i will see you in 9 day. 9 DAYS!  i'm so excited i will probably be constantly humming to myself for the next week so don't mind me. dear paris: thank you for finally helping me to put up our new tree! and for bringing me sushi last night... you're the best. and i'm gonna miss you. dear new followers: thank you! this week i hit 200 followers and i was so excited! i honestly love having people come back every day to read my blog and i appreciate every single one of you.


 

am i on vacation yet?

dear self: please. do. not. get. sick. my throat has been in that iffy stage all week so lets get better instead of getting worse. dear end of the year teacher party: i am excited for you today, let's hope you're fun. dear december 9th: are you here yet? dear students: please please please pass all of your exams! not only will you pass the trimester but it will make my life way easier. so please. dear alias: how did i forget how great of a show you were? i have watched the very first four episodes this week and i'm hooked again. good thing i'm on vacation soon so i'll have plentyyy of time for you.

dear costa rica,

dear blog: i took a few days off. this week has been extra busy with extra work and to be honest, i didn't have anything to write! i figured it would be better to not post anything and try to get some of those creative juices flowing. hopefully i'll be back and going strong next week. dear final exams: i had to make 6 of you this week in two days and that was not fun. glad i don't have to do that again until next year! dear major highway bridge: you collapsed. and now the county is in a crisis state because you have caused traffic backups on literally every other road in the area. at least i get two days off of work because of it! dear costa rica: maybe you should think about making some more roads so you don't have to cancel school when something like this happens. dear long weekend: you came out of nowhere! what should we do?? oh and dear boyfriend: i'm sorry you're sick! please get better soon it's no fun when you are sick.

dear friday: so.glad.you.are.here. even though this week flew by, it was a tiring one. i'm ready to sleep in on saturday. dear school: only a few more weeks, but man you really know how to pile all that work on at the last minute! dear bank account: i'm sorry. dear christmas presents: i'm starting to think about you now and so far i'm at a loss for pretty much everyone! any signs of what people want would be greatly appreciated. dear me: woo! you won the inpink giveaway from running on happiness! now all i have to decide is what to get... any suggestions?? i'm really liking these earrings.

dear thursday: sushi, grey's anatomy, and scandal. i like you a lot. dear insanity workout: yesterday, i kicked your butt. granted, the past week and a half you have kicked my butt. but now i got you. dear random stains that magically pop up on my favorite shirts: stop. dear the anatomy of peace: i really want to read you. dear lovely coworker: thank you for bringing me skippy extra chunky peanut butter from the lovely U.S.A.!! you are the sweetest for remembering when i said i ran out of the stash i brought back from july. a little taste of home :)

dear blogland: the past few weeks it has been a little harder for me to keep up with you. sometimes i feel pressure to write interesting and thoughtful posts all the time when sometimes i just want to post a picture or two or tell you that i can't wait for grey's anatomy to start. you know .. boring stuff. i hope you don't mind. dear apartment: can you please clean yourself this weekend? dear paris: i want to go on a weekend getaway. not anywhere super fancy but just to get out of the house for a few days ... i'm thinking to a volcano ... let's plan ;) dear mumford and sons: i am patiently waiting for your new album and i am super excited. in the mean time i am just going to watch this video of your newest single, which of course my dad who always knows whats what with the newest tunes ;), showed me. and dear costa rica: happy independence day!

dear old pictures: i have been obsessed with looking at you lately. so friends if you get an email from me asking for some pictures you will know why! i also think i am going to use friday's letters as a little flashback post for old pictures for a while .. hope you don't mind! dear exam week: whew you are finally over and almost all of my exams are graded and out of the way! now this means just one more trimester and my first school year is over. dear paris's car: whyyyy oh why did you have to break something important? let's hope we can get you fixed soon. and finally .. dun dun dun.. dear EARTHQUAKE: yes, earthquake. you showed up wednesday in my first class of the day and i certainly was not expecting you. i mean, i'm from the east coast! we just don't have you where i'm from. but thank goodness for earthquake drills so i knew exactly what to do. not to mention, where you hit me you were actually not so strong .. but still, you had me swaying in my classroom. lets hold off our next meeting for a while, okay?

dear paris: birthday present .. taken care of! we're going to see pitbull! for those of you who know me know, this is more like a birthday present for me than for him. oh yeah. (p.s. pitbull is like .. my guilty pleasure of music .. generally i'm a ray lamontagne, the head and the heart kinda gal) dear exam week: early dismissals every day? i kinda like you. dear rocco: this week you have been my favorite right before bed, and right after you wake up. maybe it has something to do with the fact that you forget what biting is when you're so tired. dear ants: i really hate you. i dont know where you all come from and why you are so interested in running around this apartment but i wish you'd skedaddle.

dear next two weeks: be kind to me. the end of the second trimester is coming up and that means lots of tests to make and grade, projects to grade, progress reports to send out, parents to meet with, etc. i swear i will get a little bit done every day, just don't pile up! dear eighth grade class: you guys are the bomb.com. i admit, that at the beginning of the year you got on my nerves a few times but now it just brightens my day when i get to be in your class. dear teriyaki experience: i love you. you have the cheapest sushi we have found (when its 2x1) and you have the equivalent to my favorite vegas role! i will be stopping by frequently. dear new readers: i believe i said this last week but again, welcome! i am so happy to have you here. i hope you enjoy!

dear birthday weekend: yay you are here! i've waited a whole year for you. even though we don't really have any big plans (maybe next year??) i'm still excited because it is my weekend to be able to do whatever i want to do. so who knows where the wind will take me. dear birthday weekend pt 2: you get a part 2 because it is also paris's moms birthday this weekend! the day before mine. we already celebrated hers with some yummy cake because she is going away for the weekend (like i said, maybe next year!) dear boyfriend: thanks for always wanting to go out to eat with me. i seriously love eating out and i love finding new places that we love. for example, we just found a new wings place (to start birthday weekend of course) that has the biggest wings for the cheapest price. yumm. dear school: you weren't tooo hard this week to get back in the swing of things so lets keep it that way, okay? dear readers: i just wanted to say thanks for reading! i have accumulated a great number of followers since starting my blog and it just makes me happy! so thanks :)

dear students: this half-day week has been nice. i've really enjoyed not having to teach you new material but doing fun activities like watching all of your skits. i hope you all have a good vacation and i will see you at the end of july ;) dear school: thank you thank you for paid vacations and for paying us before it even starts. just in time for my trip home! dear kindle: i am so glad i realized you can be charged with my phone charger. out of pure laziness i hate having to look for your personal charger that for some reason i hid away. so no need to worry about being neglected anymore. dear boyfriend: last few days before i leave for a little while. i sure am going to miss you. you'll probably miss me too but i have a feeling you will surely enjoy aallll of your free time the coming weeks. love you.

p.s. dear airport: please please please allow everything to go smoothly with my departure. i'll have all my documents handy so no funny business!

dear friday: all i can say is thank goodness. dear blogging world: i am so happy to have become a member of you. i never thought i would enjoy you as much as i do and i am really glad we met. i have "met" so many lovely girls through this blog and i can't wait to continue to do so. dear rocco: this week you have continued to surprise me and make me love you even more. i appreciate you only waking up once a night now however i do not appreciate stepping on your little presents in the mornings. lets work on that. dear home friends: thank you for making the time to chat with me during the week. having my girl friends make that time for me, hundreds of miles away has seriously been a life saver. can't wait to see your pretty faces in person real soon ;)
