monteverde cloud forest

so my students are on a field trip for a few days to the cloud forest monteverde.

unfortunately i could not join them because i have to finish up a few things for my visa (hopefully)

however, i thought it might be fun if i shared a few of my photos from when i went to monteverde on my very first trip to costa rica with a group of students from my college.

going to a foreign country with a few of your friends really is one of the best things you can do. i remember this weekend trip being so much fun, us just goofing off in this beautiful tropical cloud forest. we mostly were pretending that we were in avatar.. don't judge.

monteverde is a beautiful beautiful place. everything was. so. green. this was where i saw my first wild monkeys .. one of which even threw some poo on us. and then the sunsets at night were just stunning. all of the colors were extremely vivid.

i hope my students are appreciating all of this beauty right now! but i have a feeling they are all plugged into their ipods and what not.

if you're ever planning a trip to costa rica i would would recommend monteverde as a great place to visit for a weekend.
